Art Impressions Challenge - Cards To Die For

The challenge the last couple weeks at the Art Impressions Blog is Cards to Die For.  So for my card I pulled out the AI stamp set and coordinating dies called Fairy Spinner.  I used white embroidery floss for my string to make my stamped image spin.  The papers were from Recollections Bright & Basic 6 x6 pack.  I used a circle & scalloped circle die to create the opening.  The sentiment, which also comes with the stamp set was done with two old punches from Stampin Up.

Have a great week...

PAPERTREY INK MAKE IT MONDAY - USING FLORALS ON A MASCULINE PROJECT

This week's Make It Monday challenge for Papertrey Ink is making masculine cards using floral stamps.  Betsy has a video showing her tips and tricks for this type of card.  For my card I used papers from 7 Gypsies called Travel.  I die cut a solid piece of pattern paper from the same pack using the PTI Tipped Tops Dies.  The "Happy" was also from this same die set.  The word "birthday" was stamped using the PTI stamp set Keep It Simple - Birthday II.  For the branches & leaves I used the stamps & dies from PTI called Spruce & Sprigs.  The flower was stamped & die cut using the PTI set Bigger Blooms.  Here is my card.

I not real sure if I pulled off this masculine look.  After I made it I thought I should have hidden parts of the sprigs & blooms under the pattern paper like Betsy did to so it's not so in your face.  Thanks for stopping by...

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday - From Black & White To Color

This week's challenge for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday is From Black & White To Color.  Danielle has a video showing her tips and tricks for this technique.  For my card I used two coordinating stamp sets - the Delightful Dahlia set and the Delightful Dahlia Additions.  In Danielle's video she used Copic markers to color in her stamped images.  I just used the Delightful Dahlia Additions with three different colors of pink for my color.  The sentiment also was from these sets.  I die cut the colored piece and popped it up with foam dots to give it a little more dimension.
