MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge Using PI Blowing Bubbles

Well, I am finding out more and more things working on my blog.  I think I have finally figured out how to link an image to my blog.  So that should make things a little easier listing the products I used.  My card today was made for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  If you want to learn more about the challenge click HERE.  A new challenge is posted every Wednesday on the forum at Splitcoaststampers under My Favorite Things.  This is the first challenge that I started participating in.  The nice thing is you don't have to use MFT products.  Below is this week's sketch.

For my card I used the PI image Blowing Bubbles.  I flipped the sketch and added a border of butterflies.  A girl needs a little bling, so I added some Stickles to her hair clip.  There also is some Glossy Accents to the bubbles.  I am pleased with how my card turned out.  The MME Dolled UP pattern paper is one of my favorites.

May your day bubble over with fun
Happy Birthday

Birthday Card Using Whipper Snapper Designs Slobbery Pooch

Well, it is snowing again all day, so it's a good day to stay inside and post another card.  This one is  a birthday card using the Whipper Snapper Design Slobbery Pooch.  I like these whimsical designs and have quite a few of their stamps.  The pattern paper was from The Paper Studio "Spoiled Rotten" paper pad, but I was unable to find a link to it, so I don't think this is still available.  It's hard to see, but I also inked the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink and used Glossy Accents on the nose and tongue.  I also tried using a free watermark software.  Unfortunately, it doesn't adjust the transparency - at least that I can figure out.  So it is a little darker than I would like, but it works.  Here's the card.

Inside Sentiment:
You deserve the best day ever!
Happy Birthday

Get Well Card Using Pure Innocence Freckles

For today's card I used  a Pure Innocence image called "Freckles".  I love these images because they are easy to color with Copic Markers.  Also, their clothes just beg to be paper pieced.  They bring back memories of my childhood playing with paper dolls.  Do they even make them anymore?  I guess I am dating myself!  Anyways this is a very simple card.

Well, I just finished my cookies and I have a box of assorted cards that I am giving my niece for X-mas.  So I took some photos before I wrapped them up.  I still haven't figured out the best way to shoot my photos, so that is still a work in process.  The first card is a birthday card using the Mo Manning image Angelina.  I just love this stamp.

First Post For My New Blog

Well, I finally took the plunge and setup my blog.  This will be a place for me to post pics of my handmade cards and talk about what my inspiration was behind each one.  From reading other forums I realize it can be hard to get followers, so I look at this as more of a diary of my work.  Today we are in blizzard conditions, so as soon as I get a sunny day I will be posting some pics of my current creations.  If by chance you stumble onto my blog a comment would be appreciated. That way it will give me an idea on what I can improve on.
That's it - till next time...
