Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Today's card is for this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.  My card uses the stamp & die set from Papertrey Ink called Winter Woods.  I really love the birds in this stamp set.  The newsprint background was paper from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found - Portobello Road.  The next layer which is the white trees was a die cut using the Taylored Expressions Birch Tree Cutting Plate.  I went along the edges with some Antique LInen Distress Ink.  The sentiment stamp, oval & scalloped oval punches were from Stampin Up.  I made an oval die cut in a piece of Kraft cardstock then ran it through the Cuttlebug Honey Comb Embossing Folder.

Birthday Card Using Art Impressions Beach Booty Set

Today's card is a birthday card using the Art Impressions Beach Booty stamp set.  This set also comes with an action wobble and who doesn't love an interactive card.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut both images.  I don't have any wave die borders, so I used the MFT Die-namics Jumbo Ric-Rac to sponge on some waves.  The clouds were also a MFT Die-namics called Cloud Trio.  I basically did the same thing for the inside and used the Action Wobble to adhere that image.  The sentiment in the inside is from PrintWorks called Wishing You A Day and the Happy Birthday was from Papertrey Ink called Simple Birthday II.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Art Impressions Challenge #178 Shake, Rattle & Roll
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Shake It Up

Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop Challenge

Here is the inspirational photo for the Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop Challenge.  When I first saw this the first thing I thought of was PTI's Meadow Greens stamp & dies.  The background paper was from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Sunshine series.  My sentiment was die cut using Penny Black's Celebrations dies.  Here's my take on the photo.

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday - Customizing Pattern Papers

This week's Papertrey Ink Make It Monday challenge was customizing your own pattern papers.  I guess I never really thought about doing this, but it really is a great idea when you need something special to make your papers pop.  To check out Lizzie's video you can click HERE.  The paper was from Fancy Pants Designs called Park Bench.  I used one of the little stamps from the Papertrey Ink set called Round Repeats.  I cut my paper out using the Papertrey Ink Dies called You've Been Framed - Diamonds.  The center sentiment was stamped using the stamp set of the same name.  Here is a before & after pic of the pattern paper.

Papertrey Ink Paper Crafting Alphabet Challenge

Well, it's the last challenge for Papertrey Ink's 9th anniversary.  The challenge to use 3 or more letters of your first or last name to coordinate with the PTI Paper Crafting Alphabet list.  I used my first three letters of my last name so I had the following:
M - mix together 2 stamp sets
A - add a border
N - try a new product that you haven't used yet
So for my card today I used two Papertrey Ink stamp sets.  The first was PTI Delightful Dahlia Additions and the second was Keep It Simple: Birthday II.  I just got these stamps in my last order, so I hadn't used either yet, so that took care of a new product.  I die cut the flowers using the coordinating dies.  I then cut a piece of patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two 6x6 pack.  Using the medium PTI Tipped Tops Dies I cut the pattern pattern.  To make a border I used the largest die.  The "happy" die also comes with this set.  The birthday sentiment was from the Keep It Simple: Birthday II stamp set.  I masked off the "happy" and just used the birthday portion of the stamp.  I love the look of the negative "Happy" and there are so many ways you can orient the die cuts.  Here is my card for today's challenge.

Papertrey Ink Color Pop Fortune Teller Challenge

Well, they are still celebrating at Nicole's blog for Papertrey Ink.  Today's challenge was to make a card using their Color Pop Fortune Teller.  I remember these in grade school, but I don't think I ever played this game back then.  So I'm not sure if did this correctly, but the colors I came up with were Hawaiian Shores, Orange Zest & Simply Chartreuse.  Using this color combo I stamped and die cut pieces from PTI's Lovely Layers for my focal point.   The white curved pieces were die cut using PTI's Sentiments Splits Curve Horizontal Die.  The Simply Chartreuse paper was embossed using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.
The sentiment was from PTI's Swoosh stamp set.  I just curved it to fit the die cut.  The gems were just from my stash.  Here is my card for today's challenge.

Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #22

Today's card is for the challenge over at the Taylored Expressions blog - share joy.  It's a sketch and/or photo inspiration challenge.  I went with the sketch and used the TE stamp & die set Souper Soon.  I think all of these images and sentiments are super sweet.  I made this as a get well card for my friend Cathy who is having back surgery later this month.  The papers were from My Mind's Eye Quilting Bee 6x6 pack.

Here is the sketch & photo inspiration...

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - One Layer

As much as I love clean & simple one layer cards I very seldom do them.  So the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week was a good way for me to do something different and out of my comfort zone.  The challenge to make a card with one layer.  You could use die cuts and embellishments, but it needed to look like one layer.  For my card I pulled out a new stamp & die set I purchased from Taylored Expressions called Souper Soon.  The speech bubble was from Papertrey Ink stamp set called Bubble Talk.  The sentiment "Ouch" was also from the Souper Soon stamp set.

I love these cute little images in this stamp set.  Hope you a super day!

Celebrating 9 Years with Papertrey Ink

Wow, there is a lot going on at Papertrey Ink this week for their 9 year celebration.  Today I am playing along with their challenge to create with the design team.  The challenge -  to use all the inspiration this week and see what you come up with.  My inspiration is from Lexi Daly and the card you see below.  This is one of her favorite color schemes.
My card uses the stars from the PTI stamp set Scene It - Celebration.  I masked off a section for my sentiment which was made using the PTI dies called Wet Paint Cuts.  I die cut it 3 times and layered them to give it a little more dimension.  Here is my card.

If you have a chance, check out Nicole Heady's blog and take part in all the fun.
