Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge - Score Lines

The Papertrey Ink Make It Monday challenge this week is adding score lines to your project.  Laurie has a video showing her tips & tricks when doing this.  For my card I did three score lines around a piece of 5 x 3 3/4 of white cardstock to act as a border.  I diecut leaves using PTI's Turning a New Leaf dies and the flowers were die cut using PTI's Beautiful Blooms II #2 set.  I then stamped them using PTI's Embroidered Blooms.  The sentiment was die cut &  stamped using PTI's Wet Paint stamps & dies.  I also added one score line around the whole card front as a border, which just fit the 5 x 3 3/4 piece.  It's a little hard to see with the white on white, but it gives the card some added texture.

I went with a darker photo, so you could get an idea of the score lines.
Have a great day...

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge

This week for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge Danielle Flanders shows how to use heat embossing with ink blending to add a subtle yet striking addition to any project.  For my card I heat embossed the clock using the PTI stamp set Hands of Time and then blended ink over the top using a dauber. The hands of the clock were from the coordinating die set.   The flowers and leaves were die cut and stamped using the PTI set called Brushed Blooms  and the sentiment was die cut from the Penny Black set called Many Thanks.  Here is my card for this week's challenge.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Cute & Cuddly

My card today is for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Cute & Cuddly.  I went with an Easter themed card using a stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs called Cottontail. Once or twice a year they have a rubber sale in which they have buckets and buckets of rubber stamps that for some reason they don't mount.  For less than a dollar you can get some of their great designs.  The catch is you just have to mount them on the foam backing - such a deal.  This was one of those stamps.  The background was done using the Ray of Sunshine Cutting Plate from Taylored Expressions using papers from the 6x6 Recollections pack called Paddywack.  My inside sentiment and egg stamp was from the Art Impressions set called Hoppy Easter.

Make It Monday Challenge - Sponged Stamping

This week for the Make It Monday Challenge for Papertrey Ink Dawn is showing her technique using sponges to get a gradient look to your stamp images.  For my card I went with more of a bold color combo using the Papertrey Ink stamp set Feather Finery.  I didn't use the matching die cuts like I usually do, instead I stamped the images directly on cream colored card stock.  The sentiment stamp & punch is from Stampin Up, which is really old and I'm not sure if they even carry anymore.  I added some Stickles to the dots in the center of the feathers to add a little sparkle, which you can't see real well in the pic.  I love how the feathers look so delicate in this stamp set.
