Wedding Shaker Card Using Papertrey Inks Shakers & Sprinkle Kit
This weekend my niece is getting married, so I wanted to make something different for a wedding card. I was one of the lucky ones who got through to order Papertrey Ink's "Make It Market Kit - Shakers & Sprinkle by Betsy Veldman. The kit is great because everything is there to make all sorts of shaker cards and it was really easy. For my card I used the heart & scalloped heart shaped dies for the shaker. The "sprinkled" word die & "with love" stamped image also came with the kit. I used the heart shaped confetti die along with the chunky type sugar glitter for the shaker. It's a little hard to see in the pic since I had a difficult time photographing the silver paper & acetate sheet, but I think you get the idea. The pattern paper was from the Making Memories Wedding 8x8 pad & Stampin Up's Brushed Silver card stock. For a first try at this type of card I'm pleased and can't wait to try more using all the other dies supplied in the kit.

Mother's Day Card Using Art Impressions Louvelle On Couch
Hope all you mom's out there are having a Happy Mother's Day. We are planning to visit my mom in the afternoon. I got her a climbing Black Eyed Susan plant, since she likes her flowers and made this card to go with. The card was made for the Art Impression Challenge "Cute As A Button". I used the AI stamp "Louvelle On Couch". As soon as I saw her I thought she would be perfect for paper piecing. The background paper was from the 6x6 pack from Studio Calico called Here & There. The papers for the couch, pillow and Louvelle's top came from the Fancy Pants - Park Bench collection. I stamped the couch, pillow & shirt then fussy cut them out. I stamped Louvelle out a couple of times & pieced together her clothes, head and arm. The blue piece was embossed using the Darcie embossing folder called Brick Wall. The sentiment was computer generated and I added some star buttons I had in my stash as well. She has some bling on her finger and I added Stickles to her earrings and some Glossy Accents to her glasses.
For the inside of my card another computer generated sentiment and the Art Impression stamp Melvin. With his great smile I thought he went perfectly with the sentiment. You got to love those Art Impressions stamps!
Here is my card...
Have a great day...

Art Impressions Anything Goes "Masculine Challenge"
Well, we make it back from Florida just to get back to rainy, cold weather. I keep telling my husband it will warm up soon. And by the looks of it he will be cutting the grass probably next week. My card today is for the Anything Goes - Masculine challenge over at the Art Impressions blog. They are celebrating their new release called AI Father 's Day Heroes. I love these images and they have super cute sentiments to go with them. They work well for any masculine card, so I will be adding these to my collection of AI stamps. Since Father's Day is fast approaching I made a card for my dad using the Art Impression stamp "Norm". The papers are from the Studio Calico 6x6 pack called Here & There. The Father's Day sentiment was from a really old Fiskars stamp set. I thought the card needed something else, so I added some computer generated words & phrases. I couldn't decide which ones to use, so I added them all.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
