Card Using Art Impressions Golden Oldies "Selma & Gladys Set"

The inspiration for this card came from the challenge this week at the Art Impression blog.  The theme is "Getting Girly".  The stamp set I used is from the AI Golden Oldies collection called "Selma & Gladys".  It comes with three sentiments, I used the speech bubbles on the front of the card and the "friends always know just the right things to says" on the inside.  The speech bubbles were fussy cut and then layered on black card stock and cut again to added some dimension.  I colored the gals with Copics added some Stickles to the skirt and blue stripes.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye "Happy Day" 6x6 pack.  I wasn't planning on doing anything else to the card, but it just needed more, so I pullled out the Papertrey Ink Mini Blooms stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating dies.  Then I added Stickles to the edges of the blooms to add more sparkle.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Graduation Card

I have another quick card for today.  This is just a really simple graduation card for my niece. The stamp was a freebie from a challenge at the Art Impressions Blog.  I couldn't find it on their site, so I think it has been discontinued.  The sentiment was done using the Simon Says Stamp die & stamp set "All Occasion Banners".  The white panel was embossed using Stampin Ups Textured Impressions "Stripes".  The windows were cut using Nestibilities Circle Dies.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Pure Innocence "Freckles" Card

Today's card is using the sketch from the My Favorite Things "Get Sketchy" Challenge.  It's been a while since I have pulled out one of their stamps.  This one is my favorite Pure Innocence stamp called "Freckles".  These are easy to color and always work well paper pieced.  The paper is from My Mind's Eye Quilting Bee 6x6 paper pad and the sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp die & stamp set "Expressions for You".

Bridal Shower Card using My Favorite Things Umbrella Die-namics

I have a second post today for a simple bridal shower card for my niece.  I didn't want to get to carried away since I have to put it in the mail.  For the umbrella & sentiment I used the My Favorite Things "Umbrella & Stamp set.  They no longer sell the Die-namics and coordinating stamps together and I think just the stamp set is no longer available, since I didn't find it on their site.  The papers are from the Heidi Grace "Sunshowers" 6x6 paper pack, which I purchased at Joanns.

Art Impressions "Shake Your Booty" Birthday Card

Today's card is for a friend who is celebrating his 92nd birthday.  I wanted to make him a special card, so I pulled out the Art Impressions "Shake Your Booty" Disco Set.  I purchased this along with a female version when AI was having a sale.  These sets come with an Action Wobble, so it makes for a fun card.  I stamped and colored the image, then paper pieced the shirt and colored in the flowers.  I fussy cut the image and popped him up with pop dots.  The papers are from the Studio Calico "Daring Dear" 6x6 collection  and the sentiment was computer generated.

For the inside of the card I stamped the second image, colored it with my Copics, glued it to another layer of white card stock and then fussy cut it out.  I used the same papers and layout then attached the stamped image using the Action Wobble.  The inside sentiment came with the stamp set.  If you never have seen or used an Action Wobble with just a little flick he is shaking his booty.

This was a fun card to make, hope you enjoy it.
