Make It Monday - Photo Postcards

This week's Papertrey Ink Make It Monday challenge was making postcards from photos.  This is a really fun project, so to view Ashley Cannon Newell's video, just click on the Papertrey Ink link above.  Who knew you could stamp on photos and make your own customized postcards.  First off, I used Memento Black Tuxedo Ink with HP photo paper.  On my first attempts I ended up taking off the finish of the photo when I peeled back the stamp.  They really stick to the photo.  But after a couple of tries I got down how much pressure to use.  My first photo is our pond with a pair of geese.  They like to nest on the island in the spring.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Lovely Layers.

My second postcard is my dog Teddy.  I thought the sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Funky Flowers fit this photo perfectly.  The photos were printed on my HP inkjet printer and as per the video I added white cardstock to the back.

Thanks for stopping by...

  4. Your postcards are fabulous and you had just the right sentiments for them both. As an avid birder I love that you have your own geese to watch during nesting season.
