Art Impressions Challenge - Cut Out Your Cards

The challenge for the next two weeks at the Art Impressions blog is Cut Out Your Cards.  For my card I used the AI Tri-Fold set called Garden TF.  This was the first Tri-Fold card that I had done, so it took a little figuring out to come up with the end result.  I ended up making the tri-fold card with black card stock.  I then stamped & colored each image with Copics.  I trimmed them down, adhered them to the black cardstock and them trimmed the the black card leaving a slight edge.  I then mounted the card on a piece of 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 piece of black cardstock.  The band was made using some ribbon, die cuts and a very old SU stamp set.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Art Impressions Challenge 168 - Cut Out Your Cards
WordArt Wednesday Challenge 200 - Let's Celebrate
Simon Says Stamptember Challenge & Blog Hop - Use a Stamp

Have a great day...

  6. This is beautiful! I really like the black paper on the inside. I've only seen people use patterned paper (which is always pretty too) but I really like the stark black. It really makes the rest of the inside of the card pop! Thanks for joining us at Art Impressions. ~Renee
