Make It Monday #120 - Overlapping Ombre
Today's card is for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday challenge. Nicole has a video showing how to use sentiments or border stamps to create an ombre look. For my card I used the sentiments from the Embroidered Blooms stamp set. The ink combinations I used were Stampin Ups Crumb Cake, Soft Suede & Early Espresso. The "birthday" was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder for the top portion of the card and the ribbon was from Hobby Lobby. A little different than I normally do (no pattern paper), but I think it works for a clean and simple look.

Linda, this is a very "Happy" card! Great color combo and gingham ribbon bow. The embossed dots in the background are perfect too :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colors you used!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you made the happy the focal point. Also the more neutral colors are a great idea. Super card!
